The Solstice is a turning point. It either marks the longest day and the turn into darkness, or the shortest day and the return of light.

 In the northern hemisphere, today is the Summer Solstice and a day of embracing the Sun. It corresponds to the Full Moon and encourages us to visit what has come into bloom.

In the southern hemisphere, today is the Winter Solstice and a day to invite the light. It corresponds to the New Moon and supports envisioning what is to come.

The message for this Solstice, and this season, regardless of where you are located is that old tools may not be working as they once did. This may be at home, in the workplace, or for your physical or spiritual well-being. Embrace new ideals. Trust your intuition to guide you in the direction that you need to go now.

Growth can come when you shift your perspective. Look at things with new eyes. Ask different questions. Cultivate an open mind.

Look to nature for how to move. Immerse yourself in the natural world physically and feel what is happening. Connect with your plant and animal allies. Bring their habits into your way of being in the world for this season.

Sparks start fires. Act on what lights your fire. Let that fire burn off what is no longer serving you and light the way to what will support you now.

General guidance can be confusing and frustrating. Metaphoric messages can lead to bypassing. Dig in and ask questions to personalize oracular guidance. For starters, you may choose to ask yourself these questions:

Which old patterns, habits, or beliefs can I release to support my personal growth?

How can I adjust my personal rhythm to correspond with the seasonal rhythm of nature?

What feels motivating to me at this time, in this season, and how can I engage with it?
